I threw my shadow over you, and it was dark, senseless and hidden.

It was also your shadow in that chamber, mysterious and rebel;

far sometimes, but never quiet.

Your eyes were shut and your arms were awake, waiting for the

fall of my shadows as the leaves danced in the cold extraneous darkness.

I threw my shadows over you, like the worm, like the worm of shadow.
